Edward Sotomayor Jr was the national brand manager for a travel service. He specialized in creating gay friendly cruises and adventures including the first ever LGBT cruise to Cuba last April. Although very aware of the dangers facing gay travelers, he was known for saying over and over again “we cannot be afraid.” He is survived by his partner Luis Rojas and a large extended family.
